Slipping lower in the sky
And twilight draws so close
Begging the sun to stay a while
Night brings sweet remorse

They sleep while I ponder
The choices I have made
Am I a blessing I wonder
Or will all I am just fade

Into the night I whisper
A prayer of humility
No one there to concur
I face my fallibility

I wait for morning's light to bring
answers and new questioning.
