Welcome to the new Benzodiazepine Withdrawal Newsgroup! As stated on the home page of the Benzodiazepine Withdrawal Newsgroup, this site used to be the location of the old Yahoo Benzo group, which existed as a beacon of support for people all over the world for over 10 years from March 1999 to December 2009. It grew from less than 10 people to over 4000 souls looking for help, getting support, and getting well. When it was time for the old group to close, it was decided that a new Benzo newsgroup would be created. This new Benzo group would exist as a newsgroup, rather than a support group, with the purpose of bringing the international community together. Among other things, there will be articles posted from experts in the field; personal tips for coping from those who have been through benzodiazepine withdrawal; articles by owners of support groups all over the world; book reviews; news articles; and more. The Owner will post the newsletter approximately every 2-4 weeks. We are very excited about this new group. We hope that it will be of use to each member, whether they are still healing or already healed. We hope that it will bring together a world community of benzo survivors and the professionals who helped them. If you need daily support, where members help members, several groups are listed here for you to peruse. We do not endorse one over the other. Rather, we feel that since the atmosphere of each group is unique to its owner and membership, we encourage you to find the best one for you. Benzo Friends |
